Brief Answer:
How bad are the pains? Do you have diabetes? High cholesterol?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I will like to understand more about this problem.

1. For how long has this been going on? How bad are your pains?
2. Did medications for restless leg syndrome help?
3. How soon after going to bed do you experience these symptoms?
4. Do you have any disease conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. that you are being managed for?

These added information would help in narrowing down the list of possible causes. However, reduced blood flow as a result of pressure on the blood vessels might be at the origin of this. This will often occur several hours after sleeping and would be relieved by switching positions. This is more common in persons with cholesterol problems, diabetes and hypertension.

I look forward hearing from you. I wish you well.
