Brief Answer:
You are probably suffering from Laryngitis(Inflammation in the Larynx)

Detailed Answer:
Hi,thank you for posting your query on Health care magic.I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

Looking at the information given by you:that ENT doctor had done Scope examination on you and found Swollen Vocal Cord, from this information it is suggestive that you are probably suffering from Laryngitis(Inflammation of Voice Box).It also leads to reduction of Voice .

At present, you have been prescribed the following medications by your Doctor:
Z-pak:It contains Azithromcin:It is an Antibiotic, which helps in a case of Bacterial Infection,
Medrol Dose pak:It contains a steroid named Methylprednisolone:it helps in reducing swelling over your vocal cords,
Nexium:It contains Esomeprazole:It helps in preventing the Acidity,as the acid reflux might result in aggravation of swelling over your vocal cords.

Please continue all the above medications.

Along with the above medications,
You also need to take Analgesics with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen.
(Tylenol contains Acetaminophen : which is not a powerful Analgesic and Antiinflammatory).

Along with these medications,
Do steam inhalation.
Drink lots of warm fluids,
Avoid smoking,dust,
Avoid cold,spicy and oily food,
Voice rest is a must(If you are able to speak in a low voice, then speak as much as less as possible.Do not strain your voice.Don't try to shout.Take a deep breathe and then speak).

You have also mentioned in an another statement, that you are probably suffering from Vocal Cord Paralysis. In that case also, you might not be able to speak,But in that case, the ENT doctor should have seen no movement of the Vocal cord. But the doctor findings are Swelling of Vocal Cords, which is suggestive of Inflammation.

Still if you are not able to regain or improvement in your voice after around 5 days of using the medications and the home measures, then it would be advisable to again consult the ENT doctor for the Endoscope examination. If there is paralysis of Vocal cord, then looking at your informations, mostly a viral infection would be a cause. If you are not suffering from difficulty in breathing or respiration, then generally wait policy should be implemented,Generally this condition will resolve on its own within 6 months. If still voice does not comes, then surgery might be needed.
And if there is a paralysis of Vocal cords, then you also might need a help of a Speech therapist.

Hope this answers your question.Get well soon.
