Suggest Treatment For Lag Of Growth Of Fetus During 32 Weeks Of Pregnancy

Question: Hi,
I am 32 weeks pregnant.. Baby weight is 1773grams now and AFI is 10.8cm.. Doctor feels baby is less in weight and also doubts preterm labor somehow looking at my odorless cloudy discharge.. Not sure if that's the reason she doubts a preterm labor..

Now she prescribed me Betnesol injection of 3ml weekly once till 37weeks.. Every where in Internet I could see people been prescribed 2doses.. For me itseems to be 6 doses of 3ml.. I am really worried about the after effects of it.. I took one dose a day before.. . I felt severe back pain head pain joints pain from thigh the next day night.. Baby also seems to be dizzy most of the time.. Very slow movements.. I am really worried about remaining 5more dose.. Please advise..

Brief Answer:
2 doses is correct, upload scans.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you please upload the ultrasound scan report that mentions the baby weight and AFI ?
Were any scans done prior to this scan, and were they all normal - can you upload them ?
Odorless discharge is normal in pregnancy, do you have any pain / cramps or ultrasound findings suggestive of preterm labour ?
I am sorry to say, even if there is evidence of a risk of preterm labour, the dosage of Betnesol prescribed to you is absolutely wrong.
Can you upload the prescription, because a qualified gynecologist cannot make such a mistake ?
You are right, even if there is a risk of preterm labour, only 2 doses of Betnesol are given.
With 2 doses, there are no side effects as such.
Also the pains that you describe are not common after Betnesol injection.
Please upload the scan and I will then get back to you.
Regarding slow baby movements, even that is not a side effect of Betnesol, contact your obstetrician if fetal movements are very tardy.
Take care.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
