Brief Answer:
Side effect of prolonged antibiotic therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Since your daughter had kidney infection and was treated with IV antibiotics for infected blood and now is feeling exhausted and sick it could be due to side effect of the antibiotics with which she was treated previously.

Fluoroquinolones and cephalosporins group of antibiotics cause fatigue and exhaustion as side effect.

I will advise you to give her a glass of milk with honey and licorice every day for her exhaustion.

I will also advise her to take Vitamin B12 and B complex vitamins with doctors advise.

She can take paracetamol tablets twice daily for lower back pain.

She can take caffeine drinks such as tea, chocolate, coffee and herbs like kola nut and yerba mate which will provide her with temporary energy boost and she will not feel to sleep all the time.

Since she is very pale i will advsie her to do a complete blood count blood test to check for her haemoglobin level in blood and rule out anaemia.

Hi, she has also started leaking urine. She has had an ultrasound done on her kidneys and this was clear. Why is she suffering with persistent kidney infections and kidney pain? Thankyou

She is not anemic
