it's hot but not humid. we have had alot of rain recently. she gets them every once in a while just suddenly but this time was the worst outbreak she has gotten the other times they were not red nust really dry. no fever and no medications.

It is looking like fungal infection as it involves mainly the folds of skin.
I treat such cases with topical antifungals like clotrimazole cream in night and clotrimazole powder.
This absorbs excess sweat as well as treat the infection and gives excellent response within a week.
