Suggest Treatment For Itchy Cellulitis In The Lower Leg

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question: I have cellulitis in my lower legs. The left alittle more than the right. It was doing nicely and clearly until a couple days ago when at night the left leg was itchy and I scratched. Now, it is a little wet to the touch. No blood or pus, just a little wet. What should I do?

Brief Answer:
Hello. I understand your concern

Detailed Answer:
If you aren't currently on an antibiotic, you may need one again to treat this.

But for now you can use Eucerin cream after gently washing the leg with mild soap and water.

You may not have cellulitis right now and this may just be some seepage of serum from the skin, so the Eucerin may clear things up.

If the problem begins to spread you will need to see your doctor about it and I would treat this with Septra DS

Let me know if you need any more information please
