Brief Answer:
Antihistamines, topical and oral

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Unfortunately, it is that time of the year to be itchy. However, it sounds like you might have been allergic to something that you got on your ankles.

Did you start any new medications ?
Any new lotions (not the calamine lotion, any thing else) ?
Change laundry detergents ?
Any new soaps ?
Are there any open sores ?

I would recommend taking an antihistamine(Tab Cetirizine 10mg once daily at bedtime), as well as using a topical antihistamine cream. You can get both at the store. You can also continue to use calamine lotion and keep it moisturized.
