Suggest Treatment For Itching And Redness In The Pubic Area And Scrotum

Question: Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here... hello. Recently I have experienced itchy pubic hair and scrotum. My scrotum is red and there are red areas around my pubic hair. I got a spot at the bottom of one of my pubic hairs. I burst it and a tiny bit of puss came out. It started to go away and I got another spot in a different place with no hair in it and a bit of blood came out when I burst it. That is healing and now I've got a spot just to the side of my scrotum. However I have no spot or itching on my penis. For the last week I have washed my genitals with warm water and soap. There is no pain just itching. The itching is going away now but it's getting redder. I applied a fungal cream which helped the itching but is very red mainly around my scrotum and where my penis lies on my scrotum. I am 18 and had protected sex 3 weeks ago with a girl I did not know. Any advice would be appreciated

Brief Answer:
Eczema with folliculitis, topical steroid, antibiotic & antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It seems to be eczema with folliculitis.

I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the red and itchy areas twice daily along with the application of a topical antibiotic like Neosporin ointment on tender areas.

All take antihistaminic like tablet Cetirizine depending on the intensity of itching.

These should resolve your problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
