Question: For a couple of days it has felt like there is "something" in my eye that is causing it to feel irritated. I pulled down the lower lid and saw 2 small white bumps on the surface of the eyelid that touches the eyeball. The bumps appear to be only 1 mm large and are about 3 mm apart.

Brief Answer:
Most probably hordeolum

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using Healthcaremagic,
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

You say that the feeling has started just a couple of days ago. That is a confirmation that most probably it is something acute and will go away too.

Also, the size of the bumps is small, so at this stage, they don't need draining.

You may need antibiotic eye drops- Tobramycin 1%, 1 drop 3 times/day for 5 days.
The antibiotic is recommended because those acute bumps most probably are caused by inflammation of the glands in that area called Hordeolum internum.

If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor for a prompt examination of the area.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
