Brief Answer:
It can be a atrial fibrillation

Detailed Answer:
hello,
Firstly taking hydrochlorothiazide twice should not cause problems, it's well within dosage range. It will not lower your heart beat but lower your blood pressure. You should monitor your bp, have Low salt diet, healthy diet and regular exercises. If not adequately controlled on it, we should add medicine like tab Telmisartan for bp control.
For irregular heart beat, it could be atrial fibrillation, so we need to get one ecg done. After confirming the diagnosis on ecg, you ll need blood thinners to prevent clot formation. So get one ecg done from local doctor.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Yes you can, but better to add another medicine

Detailed Answer:
Hydrochlorothiazide is not a very potent antihypertensive. Maximum dose is 100 mg once a day, so can have it. If you want to continue it in this dose, get sodium levels and sugars tested after a week.
But I would suggest instead of having high dose of this, you have get Tab Amlodipine 5 mg once a day in the morning along with hydrochlorothiazide. It's safe and good medicine. You can continue it till XXXXXXX and further as well.
