Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would like to give you some more details on other possibilities of left chest and arm pain.

Besides GERD which may perfectly mimic a cardiac angina, other potential causes may be responsible as well.

- A scapulohumeral artritis/bursitis may be expressed with similar pain appearing with a gradual or sudden onset (depending on which structure is primarily affected).

Localized imagine studies coupled with lab inflammatory markers would help in relieving the signs of the affected structures.

- A radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck) may be another responsible cause of your complaints. Coming to this point a MRI scan of the neck backbone would help in clarifying this issue.

- A tendinitis from muscular stretching during exertion may be manifested with localized pain and tenderness on palpation.

As all your cardiac tests have resulted normal, you should discuss with your doctor on the above mentioned alternatives for a careful differential diagnosis.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further questions, do not hesitate to ask me again.

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
