Question: I am disturbed from my relationship and unable to sleep i wake up whole night and barely sleeps for 2 hrs and I am not able to sleep. and my condition is getting worse iam always have severe headache.please treat me please help me overcome

my relationship broke 1 month ago all things where right but my bad behaviour and abusive language she left me.and from that day iam unable to do anything.iam broke inside i never go outside just lay in my room.iam unable to do anything.i think iam use i cant live without i cant sleep icant do anything always there headache and i just cant sleep i always keep on crying and just cant move on without her..please help me

The simple and effective way out of depression is anti depressant medicines. They are safe, act quickly and help in majority of cases. There are lots of the other options like counselling (cognitive behaviour therapy), electroconvulsive therapy, etc but medicines are most practical for your current condition.

Since they are prescription only medications you will need to see a psychiatrist in person.

Along with medicines, here are few tips for better results :-

1)stay away from alcohol as it causes /worsens depression.
2)do 30 minutes of physical activity like cycling, jogging,swimming, etc daily. It increases the levels of feel good hormones in your brain.
3)do deep breathing techniques like the 4-7-8 technique which you can find on the Internet. Practice it for a Minute 4-5 times in the day.
4)devote some time for a hobby which gives you a sense of pleasure and mastery.
