Suggest treatment for ingrown hair infection

Question: I have an ingrown hair turned into an infection. Is it ok to sit in a hot with a skin infection ?

If the water is too hot it can damage the skin in the area and affect healing.

If you are only using warm, not hot water,this would be fine especially if the area is immersed in water containing salt.
Salt water would help to clean the wound and promote healing.
