Brief Answer:
may be due to intertrigo

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The itching and soreness may be related to intertrigo.

This is inflammation of the body folds. It can occur in any of the folds (in the groin area, in the axilla).

This inflamed area can become infected either by bacterial and/or fungal infection.

It occurs in these areas because of moisture, friction, heat.
Reducing these would result in healing and and prevent recurrence.

The use of wipes instead of toilet paper would reduce aggravation of the area.

In addition, whenever possible the folds should be kept separated by cotton or linen cloths. Barrier creams such a triple paste, desitin or XXXXXXX goo would also help to reduce friction
Absorbant powders such as zeasorb would help to reduce the moisture.

The hydrocortisone cream can be continued for a few more days but an antifungal may need to be added.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
