default
Posted on Mon, 23 Feb 2015
Question: I started using Zyclara for XXXXXXX cell carcinoma on my nose XXXXXXX 12,1915. I used it for 10 days, until I got inflamed spots on my nose, and they developed yellow spots in the center, I had throbbing pain. I called my dermatologist, and they said to discontinue using it for 10 days. that night, 2 of the spots blistered, and were very painful. the next morning, the blisters had gone down, but throbbing pain is present off and on.
My big question is ( and I called the office Friday to ask my dermatologist with no response) those three spots are red with an open center, should I apply any ointment or cream to keep them from scarring?

Brief Answer:
Yes for sure - Mupirocin

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Any raw surface left over after a blister break, has to be taken care of to prevent infections. Infections can delay the wound healing and can lead to scar formation.

Apply Mupirocin ointment to the raw surface twice daily.

Do consult your Oncologist to get the medication changed and to rule out any systemic side effects of the same.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
