Suggest Treatment For Infertility

Question: Dear doctor,

I have completed three and half years of my marriage, Initially for two years we did not wanted a child but from fro last last nine months we are trying for baby but we did not received an sucess, Intially first three months we tried on our own and then after three months we visited the Infertility doctor (July 2014) the doctor first asked me period cycle which was 34 days and i used to regularly get period within 34 days.she gave duphaston for 10days which l have to take 1/2 in morning & 1/2 in evening and she recommended to try us during the ovulation period and the days were given by her.
the same thing was continued till sep 2014 but during this period my period cycle was 28 days after taking duphaston. after three months of trying with Duphaston she did by dnc in Nov 14 to find out the uterus problem but the reports were normal. but after sep 14 when i did not took duphaston my period got late by 10 days.she also did a HSG test in DEC 2014 which was also normal. and then again she gave duphaston to regularize my period as from last two my period got very late. now this month after taking duphaston if not got period two days over due.

please advice..

Hi

I understand your query about infertility.

If you have cycles regular at 34 days you dont need to take duphaston. Let it be regular at 34 days which is fine.

Please get semen analysis of husband. This could also be reason for infertility.

Since you have done HSG in december, it is likely that periods are delayed.

Anyway do home pregnancy test after 3 days to check if you are pregnant as cycles are delayed.

Doctor semen test is done and it is normal.

one more thing to add that as per the sonography report my ovaries are bulky and it shows PCOs.

my doctor says PCOS is normal an can be taken care off..

after HSG test doctor gave duphaston and still period are delayed..

is duphaston for regular period..

Duphaston will not regularize periods permanently. It will only cause temporary regularization of periods.

As I suggested do a pregnancy test to check pregnancy.

when i last visited fro HSG test after seeing reports she said that since DNC & HSG are normal their is a problem in ovulation.

so she told to come two after my next period so that we can start medicine.

My question is do we wait for next period???????

my next appointment is on sat..
she has told me to visit whether i get period or not????

now i told u all the details of my case which i went through last six months with this doctor
is my doctor going in right way or she should have started fertility medicine..

me and my husband are very confuse
please help..

You need to wait for next period for starting treatment as HSG and D&C are done this cycle.
