Brief Answer:
Salvage should be the priority

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting the question.

I have gone through your medical history in detail.
There seems to be a deep infection in the bone of great toe and you have been suffering from it since almost 2 months.

At our clinic, amputation is the last thing that we think about. Many salvage attempts can be made by using various surgical techniques like saucerisation and curettage, bone biopsy with debridement, antibiotic bead impregnation etc.

Just doing dressings and taking medicines would be a half-hearted attempt to save the toe.

Amputation should only be thought of when the skin of the toe is blackened and the blood supply to the toe is stopped completely.

I suggest you to upload the photograph of the toe and the Xray as well,
so that i could precisely give you the best treatment option.

I will be waiting for the photograph and the Xray.

Thank you.

Kind regards.
