Brief Answer:
radio ablation is the suggested treatment in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, hi, welcome to HCM!
I am Dr. Minal , Practicing endocrinology at Manipal, XXXXXXX
Treatment for hyerthyroidism, should have been very systemic, beginning with nuclear scan to find out the underlying cause of hyperthyroidism. Then , suggested is that by the end of two years, patient should have been brought to euthyroid or hypothyroid status.
you have already been treated for three years, so now the right approach for you is to get your thyroid radio ablated.
word of caution:
1. no eye symptoms should be present
2. no smoking permitted
3. avoid close contact with small children
4. avoid intimacy with spouse
5. separate toilet , towel, utensils for 6 weeks.
at the end of 4-6 months you will become hypothyroid and will then be treated for hypothyroidism.
that is the standard protocol. go ahead with no hassles.
regards!
