Suggest Treatment For Hyperthyroidism

Question: I am epileptic, currently taking 2000 mg Keppra daily. I have recently been diagnosed with severe hyper thyroidism. They cannot determine a proper medication regime yet. Please. What are my options. I have no growths on my thyroid.

You should be under the care of an endocrinologist for this condition, because hyperthyroidism can be challenging to manage.

Firstly it needs to be determined how severe the over active thyroid is. This will guide the urgency of treatment or otherwise.

Secondly, tests need to be performed to ascertain the cause of this problem. Is it the entire thyroid that is overactive versus just a part of it versus something else entirely.
A test called XXXXXXX 131 Uptake and Scan will give a good idea regarding this as well as whether or not this is a temporary condition that will get better spontaneously within several weeks.
Treatment options depend on the results of the blood tests and this other test I refer to above.
Making such important decision requires a comprehensive in-person examination by a qualified endocrinologist
