Suggest Treatment For Hot Flashes With Abdominal Cramps And Fever

default
Posted on Fri, 29 Jan 2016
Question: Hello and Good Morning,

First let me say I appreciate you speaking with me. I am 32 year old Asian female. I have been experiencing hot flashes in addition to LBP along with contractions in the abdominal area in the lower quadrants. I am also feeling pressure in the vaginal area which is similar to contractions I felt while in labor. I am not sexually active and have not been for almost 6 months. I am currently menstruating and have been running a low grade fever.

Brief Answer:
I recommend a urine analysis and ultrasound examination

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The contractions in the lower abdominal area can be related to your menstruation itself, but the low grade fever could be indicative of a possible infection or other underlying conditions (e.g. endometriosis, uterine prolapse, fibroids, etc.).

I should also inform you that a slight increase in basal temperature is normal during menstruation, but due to the LBP and other symptoms I would urge you to visit your doctor for the following:

+Urine analysis
+Ultrasound examination of your lower abdomen and pelvis

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
