Brief Answer:
Local causes to be looked for, MRI, cortisone shot

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Arthritis of the hip joint can cause pain and restricted range of movement. It will be an obstacle especially w.r.t weight bearing. Hip abnormalities can be associated with affects on the knee joint as well. Based on the physical exam and imaging , Cortisone shot in the hip can be an option leading to overall improvement in the affected joint. As for the buttock, anus , groin region pain, local examination should be done including anoscopy, DRE ( Digital Rectal Exam ), proctosigmoidoscopic exam ( if required ). The spine should then be examined for any abnormality related to the pain especially to rule out vertebral compression through advising MRI of the Lumbosacral spine , if suspected.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
