Question: I have hip pain near leg socket with outer knee pain on right side only. When sitting or lying dull ache but sharp upon movement. Sitting in car driving acquires numbness after time. Can walk with little pain. Back si joint same side pain. Performing squats that same side difficult. Age 66 male in generally good health always. See Dr. One time per year last several YYYY@YYYY I arrange Dr. Appointment?

I understand your concern.

From what I understand it seems like you have a pain in the hip joint but also it affects the nerves as well (numbness is part of the nerve pinched). It may have come from overuse of that leg, or something that have caused inflamation in the hip joint and then it has caused dissalignment of the muscles and nerves of the leg.

What you can try before you go to the doctor is to try and slow down, be active but don't run or overuse your legs, keep a stick to support that side, take a painkiller regularely for 2-3 weeks and a local analgesic cream. If not better in 3 weeks or if worse then consider seeing a local doctor. You may need physical therapy.
