default
Posted on Mon, 25 Aug 2014
Question: My sugar levels are at a constant high of 300 and above. I have tried variations in medication, however, that hasn't helped much. I am obese and don't have any form of physical activity other than house chores. What change could I bring about for a healthier lifestyle and stabilized sugar levels.

Brief Answer:
Need to add some more medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX hi! as you have t2DM, uncontrolled, and you are already taking glycomet GP2 twice a day, and you are obese, you have a wonderful option of starting liraglutide. Liraglutide is the right molecule for you as it controls weight as well as sugars.
Second option is DPP4 inhibitor, you can add vildagliptine plus metformin.
Third and the best available option is always insulin.
TLC ie therapeutic life style changes, diet and exercise is the pillar of diabetic management. regards!
