Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Yes high blood pressure can cause the ECG to come back abnormal. In most of the cases it will cause a strain pattern on the ECG, that is the most common findings.

Cardiac ECHO will check for heart morphology (wall thickness, ventricle and atrium form and diameters etc.), function and ventricle movement abnormalities.

You shouldn't worry about those findings. It's normal to find strain pattern on ECG (abnormal) and to have a normal cardiac ECHO because it needs more time to develop changes on cardiac echo.

Wish you health!

thank you for caling my nerves i was veryworried about that .. so as my blood pressure lowers my ECG should go back to normal. Does the echosonogram see if there is any blockages? I never had any heart issues that is why im asking questions sorry.. In other words its a very good thing the echo cardiogram came back normal?

Hi back,

If your BP lowers ECG may come back to normal. Cardiac ECHO isn't the best examinations to see if there is any coronary blockages, but it's the best examinations to see any valvular blockage or leakage (heart valves disease).

Yes it's a good thing that your cardiac ECHO was normal. My advice is to continue treatment for hypertension and follow up every one year.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
