Suggest Treatment For Herpes Zoster

Question: I am a 52 y/o XXXXXXX XXXXXXX male in very good health. About a week ago I felt I was coming down with what seemed like an ear infection. I had one several years ago, and this felt the same way. One thing that was different was the left side of my scalp was extremely sensitive. It was uncomfortable to even touch my hair. Went to the doctor yesterday. The PA said the ear did look a little inflamed and gave me an antibiotic to take (cephalexin). I don't have as much of a sore throat, but the scalp feels about the same as a few days ago. I also noticed the left side of my face breaking out, so I don't know if I am having a weird reaction to something or what. Nothing significant has changed in my diet or daily routine. Any thoughts?
