Question: I am on Coumadin for prior DVT damages. Fell on tiled floor, grapefruit hematoma left thigh/hip. Hospital xrays, etc., dismissed. Blue/black/yellow/orange. Did wet heat two days. Can't see dr for 9 days. Son says move/exercise. pain says rest but do some housework. No long park walks. Dtr says rest, continue wet heat. Exercise? 81 years old. Ten days ago. No break shown.

Brief Answer: Just walk around initially if possible Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for your query I dr.chugh orthopaedic surgeon, after going through the description of your injury my advice for you would be- 1. Initially, do the necessary housework and self care .Once, you are comfortable with it then do the gentle exercises within the limit of pain (do not rush). 2. Ice fomentation 3.Take tab.limcee(vitamin C),along with diet rich in fibre(whole grain, fruit and vegetable).Tab.Chymoral forte(trypsin/chymotypsin) to reduce swelling and safe analgesic(pain killer) as prescribed by your doctor. 4.If not able to do much of movement then wear compression garment (stockings ) as provided by your doctor.
