Question: Hi, I am on Dronis 30 from 10th of XXXXXXX as per my gynecologist. My periods started on 9th XXXXXXX I am experiencing heavy bleeding and intense pain in lower abdomen. Is it normal or should I need to worry. I am married and having PCOS.

I can understand your concern..

I would like to know few things to help you better. Do you get periods regularly? When was your periods before 9th jan? Do you get heavy bleeding and pain during your periods normally or is it only in this month.

Dronis 30 is unlikely to cause heavy bleeding and pain. If you had periods after 2 months heavy bleeding can be due to that. I would suggest to get an ultrasound pelvis to know the endometrial thickness. You can take tranexemic acid 3times daily with analgesic like Mefenamic acid. If the bleeding doesn't subside with this you need to consult your doctor for a clinical check up.
