Brief Answer:
Needs interventional investigations

Detailed Answer:

Hi,I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

I see similar cases amongst veteran people.

most common medical conditions indicated by the symptoms pressure or heaviness and ringing in ears including Tinnitus, Aspirin poisoning, and Exposure to loud noise and meniers disease and glomus tumor.

I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get ct temporal bone, blood tests- PT, INR ( aspirin), if necessary MRI brain

I feel, still you need to evaluate the cause. go ahead for the tests

as such there are no active symptoms like pain, dizziness or hearing loss, she does not require active medications.go ahead for the tests.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Ct ( temporal bone) mri( brain)

Detailed Answer:

Hi,I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

The First possibility is aspirin poisoning( you need to do prothrombin time/ inr ) to rule out any bleeding inside inner ear).

The Second possibility is ct scan temporal bone- which gives information related to any growth behind the intact ear drum ( glomus tumor)

the third possibility is MRI brain ( to know acoustic neuroma- vestibular nerve growth ( nerve useful for hearing). mri also growths of nose eroding the middle ear.

the fourth possibility is meniers disease- electronystagrophy

the fifth one is brain stem evoked response( bera) to rule out nerve connections between ear and brain.
