Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Sharp Pain In The Neck

Posted on Wed, 20 Jul 2016
Question: Have had a lot of intense and horrible symptoms. can't get a diagnosis. started with heart pain and palpitations. then I started getting fluid in the knee. now I have very bad sore throats every time I wake up, headaches, sharp pain in neck and shoulders especially when breathing in. also been losing a lot of weight. Docs said it could be arthritis cus the knee swelling but my RA tests were negative. HLAb27 was positive. I've always had really bad sacrum pain and stiffness also. was curious if arthritis could really give me sore throats, heart pain and palps/ weight loss and all those weird symptoms besides joint pain.?

Brief Answer:
Yes , its possible.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since you are HLAB27 positive and got knee swelling plus young male having sacral pain and stiffness makes it an ideal combination for having seronegative spondyloarthropathy. Such patients have got a tendency for aortic involvement leading to aortic regurgitation which can give palpitations .

Also weight loss , fever , malaise are systemic symptoms that accompany this disease . Your treating rheumatologist will evaluate you for the same . Also you need to discuss all these symptoms with him so that he is aware of your problems otherwise they can be missed .

If you have any further doubts and query please feel free to ask .

Take care.

Dr. Shruti
