In the given situation I would advise you to get the FNAC Biopsy,to rule out its relation with the Headache.

Prima facie: I don't find any relation of the headache with the post-auricular lump.

Remedy
In the meanwhile I would advise you following care to get relieved of your
headache-
Take Bland and light diet with less of leafy vegetables
Reduce spicy diet /tea/ coffee/smoking/alcohol.
Reduce any stress and
Take 8 hours sleep.

After review of your updates and the query and the last query with other HCM doctor and your last 2 days history of fever/chills history explains the cause of your headache.
The history of ear fluid was the missing link in your whole story,which I could dig out by my hard efforts.
Impression-
Your case seems to be of Otitis Media with Post-auricular Lymphadenitis/ or it could be mastoiditis.
The 30 days period after the viral infection with a smoking history when reviewed with 2 month old post-auricular lump behind the left ear,indicates that you had been a case of the middle ear infection for more than 2 months time,as you had the lump 2 months back.

Treatment plan advised-
With the above facts,I would advise as follows-

To consult the ER ENT Surgeon urgently and don't take self medication any more
To take antibiotics with ornidazole(Ofloxacin with Ornidazole)/
anti-inflammatory x 5-10 days to treat the chronic otitis media,which would take care of fever/chills / and headache off and on you have.
To get CT scan/ MRI study of the head to rule out any intra-cranial complications,which may be missed out as you had a hidden infection for more than 2 months time.Besides this you had history of neck stiffness also makes this MRI /CT study very essential in your case.
To get the FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar)and PPS(Post-prandial(meal)- Sugar),to rule out any unknown diabetes mellitus,as you had history of polyuria and nocturnal urination causing disturbed sleep in your case.
Also You should not relate, on your own,the frequency of urination to more water intake,which in actual may be POLYDYPSIA, a indication of due to high blood sugar.
This advise is important because you are in forties and diabetes needs to be ruled out for proper treatment of your health issues.
