Question: My daughter has a case of head lice and eggs (found out today). How can we remove this? And how do we prevent spread to others in the family?

Also, do we prevent this from occurring again?

The best way to get rid of the lice is by using an antilouse shampoo. Ivrea is one of the best amongst. You can apply it weekly twice to get rid of the same.

Shampoo kills the lice and almost washes the eggs off.

Recurrence can be prevented by replacing or washing the bedsheets and pillow covers in water mixed with 1%Pyretrin.

Prevention of transmission is by avoiding sleeping together and sharing the bedsheets or combs.

Continue the shampoo for a minimum of three months after the louse are completely gone.
