Suggest Treatment For Hard Lumps In The Palms

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: I've developed hard lumps in the palms of both hands that seem to be connected to the tendons leading to my fingers. In addition, I get quite a bit of pain and stiffness in both hands that usually lasts a couple of days, then can go away for a few days before returning. I do work on a computer doing design work and typing 40 hours each week.

Brief Answer:
Possibly Dupuytren’s disease, therapy depends on stage

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

you may be suffering from Dupuytren’s disease, a fixed flexion contracture of the hand due to a palmar fibromatosis. Depending on the stage, this may be early treated with radiation, in later stages there is different surgical options and other therapys like laser or collagenase injections.

Please show this best to your local orthopedic doctor to confirm my assumption based on your information provided.

Best regards
