Question: What can be done for a virus that is called hand, foot, and mouth virus. I have two grandbabies suffering with it right now and they have sores all over and around the outside of their mouths and the bottoms of their feet?

HFMD is self limited viral illness caused by enterovirus family.
Usually this resolves its own in t to 7 days. No antiviral treatment is available or needed for this.
Only supportive treatment needed- analgesics like acetaminophen/ibuprofen for pain relief, antibiotics if any secondary infection, keeping good oral hygiene, adequate rest, having enough fluids and a healthy diet.
If they are not getting better in 2 to 3 days of this supportive treatment, kindly get back to your doctor.
