Question: my wife has what looks like ringworm on her hair and has lost most of the cap or top of her head of hair. we have an appointment with a dermatologist at the end of the month (jan 28th) what an we do in the mean time to get the fungus under control?

what can we do to treat the affected area until the dermatology visit?

how long does this process take?

This looks like dandruff! Try sulphur containing shampoos for now!

Hi and thanks for the image.

I have reviewed it and this is suggestive of dandruff. I will recommend that she uses sulfur containing shampoos as they are best at controlling this. Also, let her avoid applying much oil to the scalp as this fungus loves oily medium for growth and multiplication.
