Brief Answer:
Kindly upload a few Images

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have noted down your concern

I request you to kindly upload a few Images so that I am able to assess the severity and grade your hair loss and advice accordingly.

Treatment depends on severity of hair loss and grade/ severity of hair loss.

Early hair loss responds quite well to medical treatment, however, if your hair loss has progressed to an advanced stage other options like Platelet rich plasma (PRP) and hair transplant can also be considered in addition to medical treatment.

You may upload an Image either at "Reports Section" Or You may mail me at YYYY@YYYY with the subject line as Attn:Dr. Kakkar.

Brief Answer:
Androgenetic alopecia; topical minoxidil and oral finasteride

Detailed Answer:
Thank you. I have reviewed the images.

You seem to have androgenetic alopecia, also known as, male pattern hair loss. In androgenetic alopecia hair loss affects mainly center part of scalp i.e front, mid and vertex part of scalp. Androgenetic alopecia is characterised by reduced density of hair, thinning and visible scalp which is more visible on weting the hair.

Minoxidil 5% solution and finasteride 1 mg tablets are approved remedies for androgenetic alopecia in males. Minoxidil is to be used twice daily at scalp skin, 1 ml twice daily. Finasteride is to be taken once daily for long duration, preferably lifelong.

Goal of medical treatment is to prevent further progression and reverse early grade hair loss, therefore treatment should be initiated early for better outcome.

These are prescription products and should be used under supervision of a dermatologist. I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful.
