Brief Answer:
DIET EXPLAINED.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Before this reading, have you ever had your blood sugars tested ?
Or is this abnormal value detected for the first time ?
You are having gestational diabetes.
You need to consult a Dietician and have formal diet chart prepared.
As per your height and weight, total calorie requirement would be calculated.
Then accordingly diet would be advised.
Have 5 - 6 small meals per day instead of 2 -3 big ones.
Avoid foods like rice, potatoes, sugar, mangoes, fried and oily food, fruit juices etc.
Have whole grains, whole wheat bread and pasta, nuts, green leafy vegetables, skimmed milk, curd, buttermilk, nimbu pani without sugar etc.
Since when has insulin been started ?
If you are already on insulin, you need to increase the dosage.
Mostly, gestational diabetes is relieved after childbirth, if you maintain proper diet and exercise regularly.
In some women, it persists as proper diabetes after pregnancy.
Get your blood sugars tested 6 weeks after delivery to check if this is so.
All the best
