Brief Answer:
Are pains from wounds outside or from the urethra?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this herpes that you have reported. If you have active sores, then you are contagious. Is the pain related to urine spilling on the sores or it comes from the inside?

Treatment for herpes is often passive. However, if it is judged severe, you can be prescribed antivirals such as acyclovir. You may be prescribed this medication on a long term if you have several recurrent episodes. How often do you come down with these attacks?

Report how may lesions you have and if they are bothersome enough to warrant treatment, then I will recommend that you do.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

I have no sores down there. Never have had any sores in or on vagina. Just had a positive test for std. It was negative for type 1 but positive for type 2. I was told it is not active.
But where I urinate I have burning and itching and when I urinate I have pain. A urologist said I have no bladder problems. But this was before I took std tests. And I have negative for utilities and bladder probs.
What can I do to keep from having flare up when I have sex. I only have had oral sex. Never have I had sex with a penis. So I'm shocked I have herpes simplex 2.

Brief Answer:
Please, what do you mean by flare up?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Herpes type 2 can be transmitted through the mouth because the hands can easily transfer it from one area of the body to another. That is why even without ever having vaginal penetration, you were able to contract the infection.

I will like to know what you mean by flare up after sex?

If you have pain all the times you urinate, I will recommend that your doctors investigate for possible causes of urinary tract infection. At least a urinalysis an culture would provide information for us to act on.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much and feel free to keep the discussion going if need be. How often do you visit the bathroom?
