Brief Answer:
may be fungal infection.keep dry, trim regularly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.

Since it is present in both side the most common cause is fungal infection. If fungal infection you need to take oral antifungal drugs like terbinafine for 3-5 months based on the responce or other antifungal for upto 12 months for complete cure.

At home keep the area dry always, trim the nails regularly once in 3 days to avoid any further injury. If the ingrowing of nail is causing more problem better is to consult doctor once so if required minor surgical intervention can be made to relieve the symptoms and also to avoid further problem.

Since antifungal agent is a prescription drug, consult your doctor once for examination and if confirmed as fungal infection then you need to take oral antifungal as explained and if necessary surgical intervention can be made.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.

Regards
