Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection In The Toenails

Question: I have had a toenail fungus problem now foe over ayear. I 've been on a presciption for almost a year but it still exists. It is on my big toe and now is red and swollen with some redness around the nail on the surrounding skin. Also painful and hot feeling.

Hello,
It sounds like you now have an infection that may require antibiotics. You need to see a doctor for an evaluation of this infection.
Unfortunately the topical solutions do not work very well. You will need either an oral antifungal or laser treatment to get rid of the fungus.
