Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to HealthcareMagic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, first priority should be to evaluate the cause of frequent urination. Like with your age and gender it is more likely to develop BPH which may also cause such symptoms.

Others being overactive bladder or diabetes, but in absence of these, other causes like urinary tract infection etc needs to be ruled out. To start with urinalysis and ultrasound KUB and prostate, with pre and post void volumes is a must. With such pre-existing conditions, stress or urge incontinence is a possibility which means any extra surge in abdominal pressure like with coughing or chewing may lead to increases pressure on bladder muscles and may lead to frequent urination.

Also the gums containing too much sugar, or chemical preservatives or flavors also lead to increased urination as all of these need to be cleared through the kidneys and for that repeatedly increased urine volumes may be produced. Also the sugars if increase can directly cause osmotic diuresis which cause frequent urine.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
