Question: My wife is 76 yrs.of age. Played tennis for 40 years until knee and back probs 8 or so years ago. Gained weight but has lost 21 obs. Takes a number of med for anxiety: Imipramine, Limotrigene, Neurontin. They have been rather successful. In last 12 to 18 months she has developed frequent to occasional falls usually precipitated by a sudden dizzyness and forward acceleration from which she cannot slow down until she falls. Her psychiatrist does not believe prob rests with the meds. We are most concerned. I do not want a monthly membership for this.

Brief Answer:
It's likely to be a neuro vascular problem

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
She has a neurological problem like a peripheral neuropathy, neuromuscular problem or vascular insufficiency. it's better to have her examined and investigated by a neurologist and then she can get the best treatment to avoid such falls which has the risk of injury and fractures.
If she feels unsteady, Neurontin dose may require to be modified.
