Brief Answer:
She may be suffering from vitamin deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to healthcare magic.

Myself Dr Sudhir Kumar

After going through your query I think your wife may be suffering from chronic simple backache due to vitamin and trace element deficiency.

Other causes can be mainly two

1. Continuous muscular strains .

2.Possibility of weakness of bones and muscles of spine.

Treatment of simple backache is

1.Regular back exercises to strengthen back

2.Avoid continuous muscular strains, take rest in between to give rest to muscles.

3.Analgesics such as diclofenac whenever she have pain

4.Supplementation of vitaminD3,if it is low(by serum vitamin D level)vitamin D3 deficiency is important cause of simple backache.

5.Supplementation by Vitamin B complex and C to improve general health.
6.Evion LC.

I give following medicines to my patients empirically. You can discuss your treating doctor about it.

Your thyroid and hormone level is normal.

I will advise you to get her following tests if not done earlier to know the cause:-

1.Serum Vitamin D level.

2.Serum Vitamin B 12 level

3. Blood Sugar Fasting and PP

4. X-ray of affected region of back

It seems to me simple backache but MRI of affected region of spine may be done to exclude rare causes.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for your inputs. Will vitamin deficiency also cause less than normal menstrual bleeding and high WBC and eosnophil count ? As said in the original question she is facing these issues too. And the muscle pain and back pain started along with the above symptoms. Wanted to clarify on these points.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
may be related

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back,

After going through your query and follow up query I concluded that vitamin deficiency does not cause directly less than normal menstrual bleeding and high eosnophil count. But these problems can be indirectly related, for example high eosnophil count is caused by worms in the intestine(for which she is taking Benosite Forte 100mg,this drug kills worms and reduces high eosnophil count),these parasites in intestine takes food of the person and also lead to deficiency of vitamins . It may also lead to nutrition deficiency specially when person is on excessive dieting and can cause scanty menstrual periods(less than normal menstrual bleeding) when the proportion of body fat drops beneath a certain level.

Hope I have answered your query.

If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.

Wishing your wife good health
