Suggest Treatment For Food Poisoning, Diarrhea And Vomiting

Question: I ate a small quacamole Sunday- I saw later that it was out of date.
My stomach has been hurting terrible with diarrhea & vomiting,& weakness. I just now can get out of bed & still have not taken a shower.
local pharmacist gave me a liquid for nausea & anti diarrhea. I have lost 7 lbs.
My questions is - when should this be over??
I just ate a small bite & now feel stomach pains all over again.

I meant- I just now ate a small bite of food & stomach is hurting again.

started sunday Night- now is wed 4pm central

Stop anti-diarrheal drug. Drink much water. Add omeprazole

Hi,

Am so sorry to hear about what you experienced. This sounds like a case of food intoxication. Treatment consist in drinking much water to compensate for all fluid losses, allow the intestines to evacuate normally by avoiding any anti-diarrheal medications. Omeprazole would help with the stomach pain. It normally takes at least 3days for this to subside or symptoms to reduce significantly.

Thank you- I only took anti-diarrhea abut twice, I kind of knew that was wrong. Glad I was right. but i am still weak- going to try to eat tonight.
I am hungry & haven't been previously been hungry.
