hi
I evaluated your query thoroughly.

*There are vivid reasons for fluid in lungs usually primary pathology of the lung
in form of infection / inflammation by bacteria / virus / fungus etc.
*Secondary pathologies leading to lung fluid is related to problems of Diaphragm,
Liver giving rise to associated reactionary lung inflammation and lung effusion;
Systemic pathologies like Tuberculosis / Carcinomas affecting multiple organs
also involved.
*Conditions with compromised Lung capacity & functioning like HIV , other immune
disorders ; trauma also concerned.
*In a nutshell there are all definate conditions giving rise to lung effusion & why
your Dr. is not getting the reason is not understandable , I would know in
details - symptoms suffering with intensity , duration - abuse of smoking /
alcohol - history of trauma - any other associated condition of the body -
any other information which you like to share - all reports done till date with
scanned copies - which medicines given till now ?

*Because there are many alternative therapies before aspiration / drainage of
fluid from the lungs as :
- proper IV antibiotics according to the clinical condition & diagnostic
evaluations.
- Systemic treatment to boost up immunity & increase lung capacity.
- Various Chest Physiotherapies to increase lung compliance & oxygenations
give you best results by experts.
- Certain IV treatment with oral medicines to boost up natural immunity to
fight against the mighty infections.
- Treating either Primary / Secondary condition which is leading to pulmonary
effusion & taking it in control.
*So in all every case doesn`t require fluid aspiration unless & untill adequate
clinical treatment is given for the same & if it doesn`t response then only
it is mandatory to drain.
*Certain times it`s necessary to aspirate some amount of fluid from lung in
which case it`s diagnostic tapping to identify the causative organisms fromm
the lungs then it`s fine & fantastic.

Hope this clears your query.
