Brief Answer:
Gastritis/bowel infection to be ruled out by following examinations...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the fastidious situation you are going through.

1. Farting is indicating that you have a lot of gas inside your bowels and you can't digest the food properly.

2. You are also reporting to have soft/runny stool with bad stomach feeling. This is possibly suggesting:
- stomach issues (gastritis)
- bowel infection
- use of antibiotics

As this has been going for over one month and doctor advised laxatives, this is suggestive that you have been suffering of constipation. The use of laxatives is explaining why you are having soft/runny stool.

Further investigations are needed to determine the right diagnosis:
- stool culture
- abdominal ultrasound
- colonoscopy
- upper endoscopy

If nothing is found, then, IBS is to confirm.
For the moment, I advise to:
- avoid foods that would trigger/aggravate gas-forming like beans, some veggies, etc.
- avoid using straw when drinking
- take antacids and PPIs for the bad stomach feeling to optimize pH of stomach, thus, subsiding the symptoms
- take simethicone to ease the gas
- do not eat fast; chew up slowly to avoid too much air intake while eating or drinking
- be more physically active as it will help ease the work of your bowels

If still will have the same problems, then, pancreatic (digestive) enzymes are advised to take to ease digestion.

Hope it was of help!
Let me know if I can be of further assistance!
