Brief Answer:
seems to be viral illness.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that your son is having fever.

Based on your clinical details, it occurs to be due to viral fever.

Most of the viral fevers are self limiting. Needs supportive care.

I suggest the following measures for couple of days, to overcome his viral fever.

1. Start simple paracetamol syrup 2.5ml/3times daily.

2. Do tepid sponging to avoid fits.

3. Give him plenty of fluids, liquid diet (maintain hydration).

In case of persistence of symptoms, needs to see a pediatrician/ent surgeon to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Hand, foot, and mouth syndrome, rashes are always generalised (feet, hand, genitalia and mouth) that may form blisters.

As per picture, I do not opine, it's a Hand, foot, and mouth syndrome.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.

7-10 days.

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Most of the viral fevers are self limiting, children can be contagious for about 10 days after they start showing symptoms of viral fever.

Children younger than two are most at risk of developing complications like pneumonia.

Kindly monitor his cough and fever during this period. You can send him after a period of 7-10 days, once he is fit.

Take care.
