Suggest Treatment For Fever, Nausea And Vomiting
Question: Is it possible for child to develop stomach-virus like symptoms (fever, nausea, vomiting) due to infected dog bite? I took her to the doctor yesterday and they felt it was a simple stomach virus, and to keep her hydrated, but I forgot entirely to mention the dog bite. Our little 3 month old puppy cut her toe quite badly last week while playing, and we applied polysporin and it began to heal. It currently looks slightly black and potentially infected, so I am wondering if there could be any possible connection between the two.

Thanks. I think I uploaded the picture. I don't think it can be connected as the wound on her toe looks fairly superficial.
-Her temperature was high yesterday morning (102F) but came down quickly with tylenol - back to 97F. Today it has been around 97-98F all day and she has not had any antipyretics today.
-The dog is up to date in her vaccinations
-Picture was uploaded.
