Question: My 7 year old has a fever of a 101.7. What can i do to break her fever besides tylenol and motrin. Can i use vicks rub to break her fever?

Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,

Vicks rub is used to provide soothing effect during respiratory infection, it will not help break fever.
Tylenol(Paracetamol) and Motrin(Ibuprofen) are sufficient to reduce fever. Apart from it i would also suggest tepid sponging of body with water at room temperature to break fever. Give it 20 minutes after giving antipyretics.
