Brief Answer:
Need detailed examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms you mention indicate an ongoing inflammation in the eyes, the reason for which could range from infection to simple allergy.

There are chances where a cataract surgery can lead to complication like endopthalmitis which is inflammation of the eye ball. Well, this can be considerd if the surgery was done in recent past.

I suggest you to get him to the opthalmologist and get the eye examined physically in detail to rule out any serious cause.

If no serious cause is found, a simple anti-inflammatory drops will cure the condition.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Hello Doctor,

My father got his left eye operated for cataract in May 2015. But, he is suffering from this problem (mentioned earlier) for almost last 3 years, and that too in both the eyes. Kindly suggest.

Brief Answer:
Anti inflammatory drops

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

If the inflammation in the eye was existent way before the surgery, I would consider it an chronic case of allergic conjunctivitis.

You can advice him to apply KETORLAC eye drops 2 drops twice daily. This can reduce the inflammation.

A consultation with Optlamologist is recommended.
