Question: hi so I had Vestibular neuronitis over the winter months and I had balance issues from it. I started vestibular therapy for it about 5 to 6 weeks ago. I have seen a lot of changes but every so often I feel horrible for a few days. I feel like I'm moving when I'm not and also I still have flickering eyes only when I unfocus them I see back and forth movement but just a little bit. my eye site is perfect am I ok and healing?

Brief Answer:
Need evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
HI Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that you are suffering from persisting symptoms of vestibular neuronitis.

For your information vestibular neuronitis have two phase one acute and chronic and both over within 6 week of the onset but If the symptoms persist, further testing may be appropriate to rule out the other disease and for better management.

Therefore as you have persistent symptoms, I would order for
1. Pure tone audiometry and impedance audiometry.
2. Electronystagmography (ENG) or videonystagmography (VNG),
3. Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP)

Discuss about these tests with your ENT surgeon.

Thanks
